Le Terrazze Design Hotel Residence was the result of an ambitious project of building restoration by Studio Piva Architetcs in 2011. It was the second and more evolved project after the multi-funcional building, Next 2, in Osaka, Japan. “Le Terrazze provides an opportunity to show that an existing structure can be retrieved and given a totally new concept. The aim was to create a multi-functional building that combined living spaces with common areas: a hotel, an auditorium for cultural events, a wellness centre, a restaurant, a business and a commercial area, and a residence with different types of housing.” (Marco Piva)

A big “open-air square” around which it is centred, Le Terrazze is actually a stimulating Poli-functional Centre, where people can live, socialize, shop, or relax. “The newest architectural concepts, born from the restoration of neglected industrial or commercial locations, can give advanced and innovative formal and fuctional solutions that add new quality to everyday life in suburban areas thanks to the use of new technologies and management systems, like those used for Le Terrazze of Treviso.” (Marco Piva)

The building was planned to minimize environmental impact and provide advanced manangement technologies: the residences are managed by automation, control, and telecommunication systems. Public areas have technical spaces to host alternative solutions for electric generation. To efficiently manage consumption, private areas dispose of air heating plant and conditioning systems on the floor. The whole complex is a smart building, which respects quality and comfort parameters.
